Steven Wants to read some manga and would like recommendations

So after burning through AoT last week I really want to read some more manga.
But this time I want it to be something I have not watch the anime for... at all. Not even a single episode.

Anime I've watched in full (or nearly in full because they are still running) are:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Baccano!, Free!, Princess Tutu, Puella Magi Madoka Magica,
Attack on Titan, Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ouran High School Host Club, Sword Art Online ,
Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop ,Elfen Lied.
As a bonus note that is also the order I would rank them so that might give an idea of my taste preferences.

Going purely by memory I have also sampled or am watching but still have a lot go:
Sailor Moon, Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Panic, Glass Mask (the new one), Inuyasha, Durarara, Gintama, Speed Grapher, Silver Spoon
That's all I can think of but I'll let anyone know if they recommend something I have watched something though.

spectralbovine watches The West Wing

I'm behind! Sort of. I'm still ahead. But apparently my new goal is to stay TWO seasons ahead of Mark because what.

Current Progress: Season 5, Episode 14.

Ryan reads Howl's Moving Castle

This is the first Diana Wynne Jones book I've read. I've seen the Miyazaki movie, which I've been told takes some pretty big liberties.

We're recording an random grab-bag episode of the AngloFilles podcast in a couple hours (our original topic was the fall tv season, but the pilots haven't be released yet so....)

What would you want us to talk about for a little bit?

This is my effort to help collapse the threads.

Kari Watches Parenthood

Must have more of the Bravermans crushing my soul and making me want to move in with them. Preferably with Julia and Joel, their house is pretty and seems slightly less chaotic than the rest of them.

The Markspoils Discusses Attack on Titan Thread

MANGA AND ANIME SPOILERS ABOUND, DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT SPOILERS OR HAVE FULLY READ THE MANGA.

Current Manga chapter: 49 (Charge)

Current Anime Chapter: 23 (Smile)

The only things that will be rotted in this thread will be info on the prequel light novels, if anyone has read those. And of course, references to other anime/manga should be labeled and rotted.

I'm curious. For those of you who check for the videos as they come out (usually ~2 weeks before the reviews), when and how often do you check to see if they're up?

Reviewer writes review that starts out very positive, then trails off into mild disappointment.
http://thebooksmugglers.com/2013/07/smugglers-pon...

Author steps into the comments and explains to her that she's interrogating the text from the wrong perspective.

Author's defenders step in and start calling the review "hysterical" and saying that the women on the site "aren't real thinkers" and "this is why I don't read books by women." One wonders how those fans found this blog, as it doesn't appear to be their natural reading roughage.

Yeah.

So, here's a typing thing that's annoying: Used to be, if I wanted a line between paragraphs in my documents, I had to hit "enter" twice. Now, in Wordpad and Libre Office, I hit it once and it automatically gives me a double-space.

That would be convenient, except then, if I'm typing a post for here or Markwatches for example, if I just do a straight copy-paste...the line break is not maintained, and a big, hard-to-read wall o' text emerges. Now, in Word, I know I could just do a find for ^p and replace with ^p^p, but that doesn't seem to work in the programs that I have now. Does anyone know a workaround?

Um. Hi everyone! It sounds like you're all having fun over here so I thought I'd come and say hello.

Also hoping someone wants to discuss The Newsroom with me, as I'm currently watching it on UK TV. Just about to watch the third episode of the second season!

I see we're swapping up the reply colour buttons again? The pink is quite nice.

Is it just me or are the reply buttons all pink?

If so, the next question is why?

ALMOST THERE!

Y'know, ever since Valve released their SteamFilmMaker to the general public, there have been some really amazing things produced. This is probably one of my favourites, based on a song from Futurama

(Side note: I seriously have to watch more than the pilot episode of Futurama).
