Fun seeing the future Doctor though. In hindsight it's so obvious it's the Doctor but at the time I just dismissed it as being Prisoner Zero.

Even if he doesn't like it, there's one happy thing that would come out of it! This is a perfect excuse to rewatch all of Series 5! Since, you know, I don't rewatch all those episodes anyway.

Okay, so when these episodes originally aired I became obsessed with trying to figure out what would happen next with no spoilers. I was thinking about sticking my theories from the Eleventh Hour in my review since, like I said, there were no spoilers involved, just the episode, but since one is true and another is wrong but weirdly close to something that is true, I'm too nervous to post them over there. Besides, there's no real way for most people to reply to them on Watches without spoilers. Instead, I'm going to post them here!
My theories, based only on The Eleventh Hour:
1) That Jeff would be important in the season, since the Doctor seems to have set him up to become very important on Earth with all those experts. Not true for now, but he could show up again!
2) That Rory would be important in the season, since he showed initiative by taking pictures of the coma patients and people who show initiative in Doctor Who are often important to the story. He didn’t seem to get that much focus this episode, so I thought he might do more later on. True! Hahaha, I win.
3)The pinwheel would be important in the season, since it was one of the first images we saw in Amy’s town. No idea how, though. It stuck out to me. Wrong. It's just pretty.
4)The Doctor didn’t actually miss when he came back for Amy. Prisoner Zero/something else (whatever/whoever the pandorica is? the cracks in the universe?) was/is messing with time in Amy’s town and so leaving for 5 minutes = 12 years passing. Then, leaving for a few moments = 2 years. Wrong, but I had a ~woah~ moment when I reread this after the Big Bang.
5) Prisoner Zero would show up again. We didn’t learn it’s real name or it’s crime. It wasn’t being held by the Judoon and the Atraxi seem less... I don’t know. Less abiding of rules? It had knowledge that the Doctor did not. Even though it said the Atraxi would kill it (“this time” btw, which is another thing- did it escape before?) we never saw it die, so I thought it would show up again. Not true... yet! I hold out hope for the future.
6) The “pandorica” that Zero mentioned is actually the universe. There are cracks in the universe and according to Zero, that is somehow connected to the ‘pandorica’ opening. Just plain wrong.
7) Also, I went from pandorica -> pandora -> pandora’s box. So then I thought maybe the Pandorica housed evils that would take over people’s hearts, and the Doctor (+ Amy, probably) would have to travel to the Pandorica to get hope out of it before everyone killed each other. Wrong again.
8) Amy’s groom wouldn't be Rory. All my friends seemed to assume that was given, but even though he said they were dating, she didn’t. So I thought it might be someone else. Wrong!
9)Lensflaaaaaaaare
Okay, that last one wasn’t really a theory. But that one lensflare was really distracting, wasn’t it? Jeez!
Clearly I'm not very good at guessing! But it is still a lot of fun to try.
Also, I know we're trying not to make too big of a deal over Rory but I just wanted to say how cute it is in the hospital when Amy is on the phone with the Doctor and putting up her hair and Rory holds the phone up for her without needing to be asked! Awwwww.
Also-also, do you guys think it would be bad to use the gif below? I'm not even talking about Rory with it, just saying that it was the funniest expression in the episode. But I can take it out easily.

There is a big part of me that does wish that we all could have been happier with David Tennant and Series 2-4, since I was 1) completely unprepared for that and 2) it made me sad.
I know it is nice to have different opinions, and I backed off my high Tennant (white) horse after I got used to it, but I never did quite understand how people could Love Doctor Who and yet dislike the main character so much. And in season 2, both the main characters! I truly don't think I would watch a show if I didn't really enjoy any of its main characters.
SO. Now we are here. And reading through comments, we are all in general agreement that Matt Smith is AMAZING and sexy and lovely and crazy and wonderful.
I watched all of these 10 months ago-- first seasons 1-4 on Netflix and then season 5 on iTunes (that I later bought on bluray, but for a long time the only way to watch was iTunes). I can't believe that it has only actually been a year since they aired. I just barely missed watching DW live, and Matt Smith being my first Doctor instead of Chris Eccleston.
SO NOW, THIS YEAR, I GET TO WATCH DW LIVE. I have got to be so lucky, to plow my way through seasons 1-5 only to get another new, wonderful, exciting season 10 months later. :D And Mark is only going to have to wait, what, a few days?
I think my favorite character in this episode is little Amy, she's so amazing and hilarious and deadpan.
