Sunday Summary - February 13-19

I'd really like to thank you all. I had my parents up this weekend and I was able to completely ignore this with no fear of the comments turning into a battleground of harsh words and bitter tears! You all are completely wonderful! Pain au chocolat and cookies all around!

Now, let's see what Mark is going to have up this week, shall we?

Over on 'Mark Reads' we should see Chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of Mockingjay go up.

In 'Watches' land, on Saturday, we'll probably see another review of Fringe of the episode 6B - Robert Chiappetta and Glen Whitman.

As for the NuWho we'll finish up Season 3 / 29 with
The Last of the Time Lords - Russel T Davies
Then we'll probably see an episode of Old Who before or after hitting
Voyage of the Damned - Russel T Davies
and then

DONNNA!!

Yes you, you wonderful woman you.

Ahem. Partners in Crime - Russel T Davies
and The Fires of Pompeii - Phil Collinson
with Planet of the Ood - Keith Temple
possible if Mark doesn't do an Old Who break.

All in all a solid week (after the JesusDoctorDobby (and I love you guys for introducing me to that term) is gone), and I can't wait for Mark to watch 'Partners in Crime.' That episode just makes me laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and-

Yay Donna! That second gif is made of win btw, love that scene.

Yeah this is definitely one of the good weeks, no completely terrible episodes (Last of the Time Lords has some good parts aside from the TinkerbellJesus!Ten and giant reset button).

It's kind of silly I know but I'm rather looking forward to Fires of Pompeii to see if Mark recognises Karen Gillan under the Soothsayer makeup.

And, even though it probably won't be getting a review, we all have an excuse to watch Time Crash again!

I love that scene with Donna and the Doctor.

I can't wait for the Ood episode though. Aside from the amount of foreshadowing in it, I really do love the Ood as a species and that the show finally attempts to address the whole slave race thing.

I love you for making this little blog. I really need lots and lots of distractions right now.

I'm so excited for Donna, it's just like the first time through the series all over again. I knew ahead of time that Donna was the series 4 companion, so even though I was moving through at a quicker rate than Mark is, the knowledge that MOAR DONNA was coming up + my irritation at poor Martha's awful arc and Ten's shitty behavior made me get really impatient towards the end of series 3. I wanted to hurry up and get to Donna. So when I got to Partners in Crime, I was giddy and excited all through the episode, which I think is wonderful, my second favorite series opener of the show (#1 being Eleventh Hour LOL I AM SO PREDICTABLE). Now I'm going through all that all over again as I wait for Mark to get there!

Super excited about Fires of Pompeii this week, I love that episode. And Planet of the Ood, though that'll probably be next week. Yay, more Ood, and finally they address the slavery thing. I love series 4 in general, though, really. (But I have to admit to being particularly eager to get to Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. River~~~ <3 <3 <3 )

Question for E.L.S.O.S. (or anyone who knows the answer):

Can you, the blog owner, track who comments here and comments here the most? Like, is there a list you can look at that tells you how many times a certain user has posted comments on your blog?

I'd be curious to see such a list since this spoiler board is so much more populated with people fed up with Ten and RTD's writing than on Mark's blog, proportionately.

Mark on twitter:

Well. Last of the Time Lords. Well. I don't even know what to say.

Maybe he disliked Dobby/Jesus Doctor, too?

Decided to check out the wild mass guessing pages on tvtropes for HP and DW given recent discussion, and the width of comments was getting too small. Tried to pick the most lulsy ones, but it's still gonna be long.

HP:
"Harry Potter is a figment of Ron Weasley's imagination that Ron convinced certain people was real."
"Harry never left the Dursleys."
"The entire series is just a game played by the trio."
"Harry's parents really did die in a car crash."
"Grindelwald is Hitler."
"Harry was secretly working with Quirrell."
"The snake that escaped from the zoo at the beginning of Philosopher's Stone was actually Voldemort"
"Ron is a seer."
"Ron is immune to the Killing Curse."
"Severus Snape was reincarnated as Squidward" - lol. Included for sheer crack.
"Voldemort is Haploid" - lol biology crack.

Crossovers:
"Barty Crouch Jr. is a Time Lord - specifically, the Doctor under the influence of a Chameleon Arch."
"Alternatively, Barty Crouch Jr. is the Doctor and is trying to prevent the creation of Edward Cullen, who is really Cedric possessed by an undead vampiric alien entity."
"Dumbledore is a Time Lord."
"Hermione is Susan the Doctors Grandaughter"

DW:
"Jack Harkness becomes The Face of Boe because of an alien STD"
River song is...Jenny, Romana, Lucy Saxon, the TARDIS, a future regeneration, the Dreamlord, new Timelord, Susan, Satan, Valeyard, the Silence, Jack's daughter, and oh hey, Marilyn Monroe.
"Other Ten is behind everything in season 5."
Jack Sparrow (PotC) is Jack Harkness
"Adam is Davros." - yes, Dalek ep Adam.
"John Simm is the Master"
"Other Ten is the Valeyard."
"Captain Jack and The Doctor are one and the same."
"Pete Tyler is The Master."
"Astrid is the TARDIS"
"The Tenth Doctor is a psychic mental patient who happened to accidentally meet the Ninth Doctor on an adventure and is imagining himself as the next regeneration."
"Jenny is the Rani"
"Donna is not the Rani, she is Romana."
"Rose is a Time Lady is River Song"
"Jenny is Susan's mother"

I love Partners in Crime. It's just so fun. And I can't wait to see him reaction to Rose coming back. Before series 4 started, I knew Rose was going to be in it somewhere, but I had no idea that she'd be in the first episode already. And Mark has no idea that Rose is coming back at all, so I can't wait. Though ngl, I was pretty opposed to her coming back in the beginning, but less now.
