AtLA 30 Day Meme: Day Five - Favorite Outfit

What is your favorite outfit any of the characters wore over the seasons?

For me, my favorite outfit has to be Troph's normal gear.

Just look at it! It looks so comfy! (Although I would prefer to wear shoes.)

So what about you? What's your favorite outfit seen throughout the series?

mild spoilers through the end of S3

...I don't know (this is a really difficult question for me just because I don't have much of an eye for costumes unless someone explains it to me). I like June's outfit, I guess. I like Kyoshi's, and the Kyoshi Warriors'.

Oh wait, I have a good one: the Ember Island Players' Avatar State. I fucking love that thing.

That's... a tough one. I have a lot I liked: Team Avatar's Fire Nation disguises, the Kyoshi Warriors' armor, June's outfit is pure badass, I like Toph's regular clothes a lot, and I think her "at home" dress is really pretty on an aesthetic level. TOUGH CHOICE.

Now that everyone's brought it up, it reminded me how much I do like the Kyoshi Warrior's outfit, especially their make-up. For some reason I really love Zuko's tea-shop outfits, and also the white funeral variations on the FN Royal's regular clothes. Probably my favourite outfit in general though would be the Fire Nation Firebender's uniform. They're delightfully spiky, and they have cool skull facemasks. :D

I'm going to go with the Earth King/Bosco costume worn by a nameless actor in The Ember Island Players. It's only shown on-screen for a few seconds, but I've always loved it.

MAJOR S3 SPOILERS!!

These are random words in case anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled looks here accidentally. I know I've already announced "spoilers" but sometimes my eyes just float downwards and read the next sentence anyway. That should be enough of a buffer so here it comes: the armor Appa wears during the invasion. It's so epic and even has it's own arrow <3 I know the airnomads didn't have an army, but if they did an army of armored skybison would rip through anything.

i love the gAang in their fire nation outfits.
actually, i just like fire nation outfits in general.

OH and katara's painted lady outfit was so pretty. i loved the face makeup :)

Oh god I bust up laughing every time I see that picture. And the music that plays during it... it's just too much. That may be one of the best moments of the whole show.

I’m really not sure how to answer this question. I’m not really one to pay attention to fashion or clothes in real life, and that holds true with the shows I watch. Unless it’s a character very much defined by their outfit, like the Doctor, I really won’t think very much about what people are wearing.

Of course, even I can tell that the detail put into costume design is top notch, like all the art, so I can’t cop out of this one. Taking that in mind, I think I’ll probably have to go for Katara’s season one costume. I hate the cold, but I love warm clothes, and that fur manages to look cosy, practical and elegant all at the same time. Plus, I love the colour blue.

A big shout out also has to be given to the Water Tribe fighting regalia. Whenever Sokka suits up for war, he looks bad ass; whether it’s that really cool makeup in ‘The Avatar Returns’ or that sweet wolf head in ‘The Day of Black Sun’, it manages to look so fierce and wild.

Katara and Sokka's outfits as Mr. and Mrs. Fire. XD Especially the disguises to make them appear adult - Sokka's beard ( <3 ) and Katara's fake pregnant belly.

Seriously, now - I like the Fire Lord regalia, and Princess Yue's dress and fur coat, and Katara and Toph's dresses they wear for the Earth King's party.
