How interesting that since a fascist took over in the U.S., fascism and nationalism have lost big in various European elections. I hope the same can hold true for us in 2018.

This is where Mark lets us know when the new videos are up (they're usually uploaded all at once). Please do not try to buy a new episode until he posts here (or on Twitter) to say there's something new ready to download. SERIOUSLY.
Link exchanges and donations take place on the Black Market post. Below are links to the store page for each show (just click on the show title), plus a list of the episodes that we expect to be uploaded for the week.

Kamehameha consolidates his power, makes trade routes with other nations, and enacts The Law of the Splintered Paddle, one of the first human rights laws.
There's also a bonus video about British Intelligence, and keeping the biggest invasion anyone had ever planned a secret. (It involved inflatable tanks)

In elementary school, I was a huge fan of the Pippi Longstocking books (and the 1997 Canadian animated version). I remember seeing tapes of a live action version at Blockbuster and being psyched. Then I got home, tried to watch them and found them awful.
Earlier this week, I was looking up adaptations to see what was up. Five seconds into a clip, it hit me why I thought they were so terrible. The originals were in Swedish and the dubbing was....lets call it abysmal.

Because it is a good game, but has a pretty big hurdle to clear in that its premise is going to turn a lot of people off.
That premise: The bad guy won. Now you work for them. Your job is to crush those last pesky rebels.
And your thinking, "well, I'll secretly help the rebellion or work within the system to effect positive change!" No, sport, you don't get off that easily. The main influence for the player character was Judge Dredd. And it shows. (Gurer vf n cngu gung vaibyirf wbvavat gur eroryf, ohg gur qvnybthr gerr vf vaperqvoyl uneq gb trg evtug. Naq lbhe ernfbaf sbe qbvat fb ner sbe lbhe bja crefbany cbjre naq zvtug or jung gur Bireybeq cynaarq nyy nybat naljnl.)
That is not to say it's a grimdark hellscape either. It's a well-thought out world that just went through its Iron Age, so we're not in Fantasy Medieval Europe again and "edgy misogyny" isn't used. And there are some moments of levity. Your companions taking a break from bickering to play Fuck-Marry-Kill sticks out.
The combat...well, it's an isometric with limited AI. I liked doing the co-op moves with party members and the spellcrafting system was great, but I wish they let you be a bit more flexible, instead of using the same moves over and over.
The Archons are pretty cool too. They're intentionally larger-than-life characters that you can see why people are drawn to them, but you, as the one stuck in the middle, get very frustrated with, very quickly. The Voices of Nerat is creepy as fuck.
It's an Obsidian game, with all the baggage and perks that entails (although without Chis Avallone and his need to tell you his opinions at length. "Hey, kids, you know what bugs me about Star Wars?")
