This is where Mark lets us know when the new videos are up (they're usually uploaded all at once). Please do not try to buy a new episode until he posts here (or on Twitter) to say there's something new ready to download.
Link exchanges and donations take place on the Black Market post. Below are links to the store page for each show (just click on the show title), plus a list of the episodes that we expect to be uploaded for the week.

Massive SPOILERS for the upcoming Sevenbomb are currently loose. Apparently all five episodes have leaked to the internet, bizarrely from Cartoon Network themselves. If you want to see these stories organically and in time with everyone else, be careful online.
Anticipation only, no plot: Nccneragyl gurfr ner uhtr. Ovt, yvsr-punatvat fgbel ryrzragf. V qba'g xabj zber, V unira'g frra gurz.

I'm a cashier. Which means I spend most of my day desperately bored. So to pass the time, I play music in my head, going through albums and soundtracks. Rocky Horror's good, I know enough lyrics to do a bunch of the Beatles, and I can do the entirety of Weird Al's Running with Scissors with almost no hiccups.
Today however? The only thing my mind wanted to play was the theme song to Moonlighting, which I have never watched.

This is certainly a top moment from her in 2016. I know she was not the only one to react this way.

...and Watches Game of Thrones Season 2
Last week, I got through Chapter 61, which ended with Fnafn syrrvat Xvat'f Ynaqvat jvgu Yvggyrsvatre nsgre Wbsserl'f qrngu. I forgot to do any reading yesterday/today because I forgot it was Monday, but I had planned to finish the book on Friday, so I'll just push everything back a day and finish on Saturday. Then I'm going to take a week off before starting A Feast for Crows.
Planned Game of Thrones schedule:
2.03 "Jung Vf Qrnq Znl Arire Qvr" Monday (already watched).
2.04 "Tneqra bs Obarf" Thursday.
2.05 "Gur Tubfg bs Uneerauny" Saturday.
Spoilers will generally be unciphered through what I've read/watched. Nun, etc. away!
TW: To be on the safe side, assume any triggers related to blood/gore/injuries, war/violence/death, slavery, misogyny, and sex (in particular, incest and rape/consent issues). Anything that needs mention beyond that will get a specific warning.

Fifth Stevenbomb content discussion thread, we are ahead of schedule apparently, all five episodes are already released.
Still keep the replies to this thread ROT13-d, anyways.

Last year I just kept track of all the movies released in 2016 that I watched, but this year I'm going to try to keep track of all the movies I watch and I'm going to try my hand at writing reviews for them.
(Some general spoilers in the reviews.)

In 2016, I read 444 books (counting only first-time reads and re-reads of books I haven't read in at least 10 years; Goodreads clocks me at 409 first-time reads). Of those books, about 1.1% were by white male authors (less if you consider the fact that one is an anthology edited by a white man but included short stories by non-white-men)! About 97.5% were by women and about 25.9% were by POC (compared with 4% last year and 20% in 2014).
Of my books:
- 53.8% were romance novels (goes up to 66% if you start lumping in paranormal romance / urban fantasy novels where romance plays a key aspect) (goes up even higher if you add in anything with a romance aspect) (genre distinctions are arbitrary and meaningless) (compared to 74% last year)
- 22.3% were Regency romance novels (compared to 63% last year)
- 31.7% were fantasy novels
I'm not sure why I read so many this year, though I think that my number count is artificially inflated by Seanan Mcguire's Incryptid short stories (which I each counted as a "book"), but I almost doubled the number of books I read compared to last year (last year I clocked in at 229). This is no doubt in part because I was a bit slow at work this year (billed about three-quarters of what I billed last year).

Friends, it appears I had not updated my Mark Reads playlists since March. This is not particularly surprising to me what with Life and School and Whatnot getting in the way... what is perhaps more surprising is that I just caught up in one fell swoop!
https://www.youtube.com/user/torturedbabycow/play...
I think the default sorting is by date created, but date updated may be more relevant in this case. I am putting all the Patreon commissions in existing playlists called Mark Reads BONUS: blahblahblah, and all the main projects are under Mark Reads Terry Pratchett or Mark Reads Diane Duane. (Holy crap, when I started tonight, my Mark Reads Diane Duane playlist only had the two prologue videos from the first book...)
Anyway, having only recently gone back to listen to Witches Abroad, it was VERY HARD to put A Wizard Abroad on the correct list, so if anybody goes to use my playlists and finds an error please tell me! Any discussion of optimal organization is also welcome, though I make zero promises about implementing smart things since this is basically an archival project at like fourth-tier-hobby-status. :P At some point I do want to split off "complete" Patreon commissions from the rest of the "BONUS" playlists.
And at some point I reeeeaaaalllly need to go listen to the Chuck Tingle readings I've missed....

Yesterday, the low was 38. Tonight it's 9. -2 with windchill.
Boo.
I lived through a drought in South Africa. Now I'm leaving my faucets on so that they don't freeze. It's been decades, but it still weirds me out.
