This is probably one of the most beautiful shorts I have ever seen. I saw it last year and I was reminded of it when a gif showed up on my dash and had to rewatch it immediately. It tells the story of a young blind boy, Leonardo, and how his life changes when he gets to meet the new boy in his school, Gabriel.
It touches two important subjects (that I believe will be greatly appreciated by this community): sexual identity and disabilities. And it's done in a beautiful and sweet way.
I honestly recommend it. It's 20 minutes. It's in Portuguese but it is subtitled - and the subtitles match it perfectly.
Really, I cry every time I see it, and it's tears of joy.

The Soundtrack of a Nightmare Before Christmas, performed by different artists. My favorites are This is Halloween, Kidnap the Sandy Claws and Oogie Boogie's Song. Includes the presence of Amy Lee, Marylin Manson, The Vitamin String Quartet, Plain White T's and others.

I feel like this is an accomplishment. 201 episodes, two movies, and I've even started reading the season 10 comics and can now keep up with those in real time.
I started this on January 3 this year, which means I've watched a little under a season a month.
And what an experience it was. I get it now.
Lots and lots of spoilers and thoughts and feels in the replies. (I'll rot13 any stuff about the comics since I don't know that everyone has read those.)

Hello Spoils! I have a costume party coming up in a week and I'm asking for your help. I'd like to go as Nahadoth from The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. Here's an image I'm basing the design off of. (The other picture I found is shirtless and, uh, nope.)
So any tips or ideas regarding dress, makeup, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I think his tendrils may be the toughest part to get right.

I know it's been . . . months since I've been around (residency, boooo) and I'm sure nobody remembers me, but I thought I'd pop in for some of the midwest/minnesota people.
There's this amazing giant puppet halloween show going on tonight as well as Thursday, Friday, and Saturday next week in the twin cities that I'm playing accordion for, and I thought it'd be the kind of thing you guys would like! The first show was last night and I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it. There's a giant vulture-infested clock, massive puppets that take 2-3 people to move, and some pretty awesome original live music!
