LET'S DO THIS. :D This thread will cover chapters 1-7, and is open to all who want to read along or reread, but if you've read the book before, please remember to mark your spoilers and cipher them. Additionally, please mark any speculation/guessing with "Theories Abound", so that other newbies can avoid reading it if they so choose. We'll be doing a chapter a day, which means this ends on Halloween! Also, if you're reading the new edition that came out last year, I recommend not reading Garth Nix's introduction till you've finished the book.
I'll post my own thoughts on the first chapter in reply to this.

Anyway I'm gonna chat with a lot of spoilers in the reply, so yeah, don't read it if you've not finished the show.
I'll end this first post with a warning: if you ever decide to watch Steins;Gate for the first time by watching the DVDs, don't read the blurb of the second DVD set unless you know what's going to happen. I have never seen such a spoilery blurb of anything in my life (fortunately I realised this after a sentence and stopped reading... I then read the blurb after finishing the series). It sounds good, but not great if I want a surprise, DVD box writers!
(I'll also put the blurbs of both DVD sets in the reply for anyone interested who doesn't have the DVDs to see what I mean).
