What is your favorite weapon seen in the series?

Probably either Zuko's double swords or Mai's knives - all of them. I like sharp shiny things, basically.

Space sword or Zuko's dao blades. Space sword is made out of meteoric iron, so that immediatly makes it super-cool. It's ridiculously sharp, and Sokka worked damn hard to make that sword. :D The dao because Zuko uses them really well, and I like the philosophy behind them, of the two moving as one.

No, wait - Appa!

Ha, okay, for reals. Space sword is what first came to mind and that's tough to beat. . . Oh, I don't know if this counts but I love the Earth Kingdom tanks. But I think the spirit of this question is for non-bending-related weapons in which case I think I'll have to go with Space Sword.

The Space Sword is really cool and all, and is a close second, but I think first has to be a tie between Zuko's dual swords and BOOMERANG!

Honorable mention, too, to Mai's knives.

The boomerang.

I love the space sword (its made of meteorite!) but because of the Law of Inverse Fatality, Sokka was less able to do damage with it because then there would be blood. As such, he was far more talented with the boomerang. It might also have something to do with the fact that he had three days of training. (Seriously, season three's time line makes no sense)

Yeah, there were times when I could tell Sokka wasn't really using the sword to it's full potential. Because a really real swordfight usually means 1. There will be blood and 2. It will be over pretty quickly, because people will be striking at vital points.

The Boiling Rock fight with Sokka and Zuko vs Azula particularly sticks out to me. There's one point where Sokka lunges forward and aims the sword at her throat, and then he kind of just steps back and doesn't follow through with another attack, letting Zuko shoot fire at her instead.

Bonus for this day -- almost every weapon used in Avatar (except for Boomerang) can be seen in this fight scene from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Does Toph's Iron Lady suit count? No? Well, frak you. It counts because you know if you said it didn't, Toph would proceed to use it to beat you into a puddle of gooey peoplestuff.
