I **LOVE** this scene of Four's! Every time I watch it I wonder how many takes it took two grown men to jumprope long enough for the Doctor to say his little rhyme. I mean, *I* can barely jumprope on my own! Much less jump with someone else!
So what about you? What is your favorite Doctor moment?
Tomorrow: What is your favorite Rose moment?

I... love this moment. The Seventh Doctor comes off as much less threatening than his fellows, in the show at least (I have heard he's a lot moreso in the audios, which I really need to get around to listening to), but this moment? It's just INTENSE. He stands in front of a fucking sniper and TELLS HIM TO SHOOT him. That's just intense. I love Seven's way of talking his way out of danger (a wonderful moment in Ghost Light comes to mind), and this is by far my favorite instance of it. Dude may be little, but he has BALLS.

In the end I had to choose the scene and moment that made me love my favourite version of the Doctor. I mentioned this back on day one when talking about why I liked him so much, so here is Eleven, Amelia Pond and a kitchen full of food.

Basically, run.
I knew Matt Smith would be a good Doctor since the beginning of this episode, but this whole scene just proved he would be a great one.

Tough choice, there are so many Eleven moments I want to list, but there are two that really stand out and I can't choose between. I know, I keep cheating with ties and top fives, but it's a tough meme.
And the other is the "second Doctor in the forest" scene from Flesh and Stone. It's so sweet and touching, and then takes on added significance when you see it in full context during Big Bang.

Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically, run.
So this scene speaks for itself, I think. Earth has had its trials, but it is a protected planet, and it's about THE Doctor, not any specific incarnation, though I love Eleven stepping through the image.
Also, THAT IS SOME GODDAMN HERO MUSIC RIGHT THERE. But that will have to wait for day 29.

My favorite Doctor moment (for right now at least), is probably the rewind sequence- and particularly his interactions with Amelia. Eleven is so fantastic with kids in general and in those moments he is older and sadder than any of the other Doctors I've seen. That is what the Doctor is all about for me- a mad, compassionate man with a box telling his fantastic tale and saving the world.

1) "Oh, look. Rocks!" LOL, FOUR, LOVE YOU FOREVER.
2) Nine's speech to the Dalek fleet. Its full of intensity, excitement and amazing acting.
3) I know I put this for 'saddest moments' but it still stands; the Doctor, by little Amelia's bed, telling her the story of the brand new, ancient blue box. It takes a lot to carry a performance by your own, and Matt Smith does amazingly. The beautiful writing, scene and music all work to make it a wonderful moment.
4) "This is my time-wimey detector. Goes ding when there's stuff." XDXDXDXD

I think, surprisingly for me, it's actually a Nine moment. "I'm gonna save Rose Tyler, and then, just to finish off, I'm gonna wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky."
It's epic!
Runner up would probably be Ten pulling the lever in "Fires of Pompeii" and Eleven for his speech to the enemies in "The Pandorica Opens." Oh, and Five at the end of "The Caves of Androzini." All the sads forever Five :(

That scene and all it represents is why I love Ten so much. RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT. Ten is as human as it gets in that scene. He is broken down from that high and mighty man who knows all, he is equal to us all or less than us all at that point and what is your first reaction? Denial. Denial is the first reaction and it is the MOST HUMAN REACTION OF ALL. I have been there, I know what that is, and I love that Ten does it. AND TENNANT'S ACTING. I would like to hug him forever. I think it would even be not so bad to cut that scene before he actually saves Wilf, just after the raging and then the sudden determination. Even if we cut there we know that he has passed through denial and acceptance and there is no going back.
I hope it isn't sad that my favorite Doctor scene is such a sad one. I think part of it is because it is the pinnacle of Ten and there is so much history before it and there is so much to come after and we all know that as well as understanding his rage.
