The Great 30-Day Who MEME!!!! - Day Twelve

What scene or moment in Who makes you giggle?

Probably the thing that gets me giggling the most is the now infamous Matt Smith naked!Doctor. Everything about it from the Doctor rushing off to save Craig in a towel to his complete lack of shame in being naked in front of Sophie. Although I've got to say that this entire episode has been tarnished for me with kytten's story! Oh, Eleven, you would be the worst housemate EVER with that sort of behavior.

So, what scenes or moments in Doctor Who make you giggle?

Tomorrow: What is your favorite scene or moment that has been visited by the Who cast?

Can I pick an entire serial? Fuck it, I'm picking an entire serial.

Ghost Light. Just... Ghost Light.

Very short and not very detailed answer from me today, too headachey.

This is a tough one, there's so many funny moments but I'm going to have to go with the charades scene from The Unicorn and the Wasp. David Tennant and Catherine Tate are absolutely amazing in it, and Fenella Woolgar's pretty damn good in it too.

"What do you want, a Harvey Wallbanger?!"
"HARVEY WALLBANGER?!
"Well I don't know!"
"How is Harvey Wallbanger one word?!"

The Lodger definitely wins as an entire episode, but the bit that cracks me up enough where I have to pause the episode is his "I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS!" shout.

He's just so completely clueless in the entire scene, and the fact that shouting that would be his response to bringing a girlfriend or boyfriend home is just perfect. And the fact that he actually demonstrates the shouting part of it...

I can't fully explain why this bit gets me more than a hundred other funny moments, but it really does just kill me.

The deleted scene from the end of "The Eleventh Hour," which contains Amy's reaction to the TARDIS. This is pretty much exactly how I would react to the situation, with endless questions and a bowtie fixation. ;)

"Are you like a tiny little slug in a human suit? Is that why you walk like that? "

I'm pretty much going to go with "all of The Lodger", as it's hands down the funniest episode, IMO. It makes me laugh uproariously from start to finish, this part especially.

Doesn't hurt that he looks fantastic in just a towel, either.

Honorable mention to fish custard, popping out of the cake at Rory's stag, the fez, and many more Eleven scenes.

Gotta go with Donna. It's kind of a toss-up between her pantomime in PiC and the guessing in UatW, but I'm gonna go with Partners in Crime. Catherine Tate you are hilarious.

And I'll throw this gif in, cause why not.

Lots of Donna moments are hilarious, but they are all/will be fresh in our minds so I'm gonna say a few others...
'Drunk' ten in GitF... actually there are a few good uns in there- "Arthur?" "Yes, Arthur. Good name for a horse"
Eleven popping out of Rory's cake. Especially "she's *whisper* diabetic!"
A Dalek offering the Doctor TEA! Loved it.
Daleks gossiping in Daleks in Manhattan
"Rose- I'm trying to reasonate concrete"
hm... trying to think of some others... might have to come back later with more...
All of The Unicorn and the Wasp, especially the Magical Chair of Reminiscing and the Doctor pointing fingers at Agatha Christie and Donna. And this:

My second favorite funny moment has got to be this scene:

Honorable mention goes to this whole scene:

AND STAY OUT!
‘Favourite Scene the Makes you Giggle’. That’s a difficult one since so much of Doctor Who is top notch humour, but also because brilliant jokes are scattered throughout scenes which are remembered for other things, as well.

A point definitely needs to towards the Donna/Doctor mime scenes; both in Partner’s in Crime and The Unicorn and the Wasp . There is amazing chemistry between those two actors, and the former especially illustrates their amazing physical acting skills.

Another Tennant/Tate amazing comedy moment has to go to the scenes between Handy and DoctorDonna. Good lord, everything from the lines to the acting make me laugh there.

Donna: Its you!
Handy: Oh, yes!
Donna: ....and you’re naked !
Handy: Oh, yes!

Donna: Is that what Time-Lords do? Lop a bit off, grow another one? You’re like worms!
The way that David Tennant takes on Donna’s characteristics and so perfectly emulates Tate’s style of acting is simply wonderful. How can you not love it?

I’ve also got to give some points over to Martha and the Doctor’s discussion about the grandfather paradox and chaos theory, since that’s honestly the exact same thing I’d be asking. Also, Rory’s return in ‘The Pandorica Opens’.

Doctor: I don’t mean to be rude, but you died.
Rory: Yeah, I know. I was there.

Just something about the understatement and the ridiculous nature of the debate in that scene makes me laugh.
My favorite has to be the scene in Eleventh Hour when the Doctor goes through all that food and ultimately ends up eating fish sticks and custard. Actually all of the Eleventh Hour had some brilliant moments like this. From Amy saying she bit her therapists to Rory's "I'm sorry did he just save the world from aliens and then bring them back?" This whole ep was comedic gold and such a relief from a year of depressing specials.
Of course I also have to give a shout out to Partners in Crime and that fantastic scene with The Doctor and Donna miming to each other from windows.
Time Crash.

I mean, there are too many funny parts in Doctor Who to name, but Time Crash is nonstop hilarious fun.

OH I think I have one that nobody else has posted yet!

The reunion scene between the Doctor and Rory in The Pandorica Opens. Matt Smith and Arthur Davrill play off each other so well, and the whole bit is just classic comedy. I'm already giddy at this point because Rory is back, and then you have the Doctor being wonderfully oblivious, and hearing the sound of him dropping the huge guns when he realizes exactly what he's overlooked. And then you have the poke. Oh, the poke.

I can't help but giggle at this scene. And then you have the incredibly heartwarming moment between them just seconds after--- GUYS HAVE I MENTIONED HOW MUCH I LOVED THAT SERIES/FINALE/DOCTOR/COMPANION???

One of my favorite one-liners, from the Doctor Dances:

Old lady: My leg's grown back! When I came to the hospital, I had one leg--
Doctor Constantine: Well, there is a war on. Is it possible that you miscounted?
This one it took me a long time to think on. My brain is set to Series 5 because it's the most recent series I've watched, plus I'm rewatching it as my mother is watching it. And as with the crying one, there's tons of giggling in Doctor Who. I did remember a scene that isn't from Series 5 that very much made me giggle. And I like to keep remembering it because of the sad that comes later on. Series 4 episode 2 Partners in Crime, when the Doctor and Donna are pantomiming at each other across the room. I just love their expressions and how excited and happy Donna looks. It's one of my favourite scenes from that series. Donna and the Doctor were the best of friends and I loved that about them.
Hiya, I’m really glad I have found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish only about gossip and web stuff and this is actually frustrating. A good site with interesting content, this is what I need. Thanks for making this site, and I will be visiting again. Do you do newsletters by email?
